Pearse is an experienced psychoanalyst specialising in psychodynamic psychotherapy. The focus of psychodynamic psychotherapy is usually on the client’s personal and emotional experience of important relationships. This can include unconscious behaviours which are difficult or defensive, and typically cause repetitive unhelpful patterns in a person’s life.
Pearse studied and trained in the UCD School of Medicine, St Vincent’s Hospital (SVUH), the Mater Hospital (MMUH) and DBS, working with psychiatrists, psychologists and psychoanalysts. Pearse can treat anxiety, adjustment difficulties, depression, gender identity and sexuality issues, sexual abuse, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorders, repetitive patterns of difficulty and many other clinical disorders.
