With a background of over 20 years’ experience in mental health within the HSE, I bring both expertise and compassion to my work as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. CBT is a highly effective, time-limited therapy that helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings and behaviours affect each other, and how these patterns can keep difficulties going and hold you back in your life. Gaining awareness and learning practical strategies can help to break these cycles and move towards a life more in line with your goals and values.
I work with people who are experiencing distress for various reasons. People who want to understand why they are struggling, and how to move forward. Common problems I see include anxiety, panic, overthinking, excessive worry, depression and burnout. I also support people dealing with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and post-traumatic stress (PTSD).
Whatever brings you to therapy, my aim is to provide a safe, non-judgemental space where you can pause, reflect and gain clarity. Together, we will make sense of your experiences ,work out ways of solving problems and develop skills you can use for the rest of your life.
