Angela is an integrative and humanistic Psychotherapist and an Accredited member of the Irish Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (IACP) and is committed to high professional and ethical standards and continual professional development. She completed both her post-grad Diploma and MSc in Counselling & Psychotherapy at the Dublin Counselling and Therapy Centre.
Approach
My approach is based on a humanistic client centred relationship, where I connect with clients in a supportive and non-judgemental space to explore their deeper issues, helping to bring about a better understanding of past difficulties and behaviours. I believe that everyone is unique and using a holistic and compassionate approach I gently seek to establish and develop a therapeutic relationship built on empathy, understanding and acceptance, ensuring the client feels safe to explore any challenges they are experiencing. By remaining curious together, I help my clients find healthy perceptions of themselves, which strengthen their relationships enabling them to become their authentic selves, living lives of truth, creativity and freedom.
Experience
Angela has nine year’s experience supporting adults living with difficulties including depression, grief, loss, anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, narcissism and low self-esteem in a compassionate and supportive therapeutic environment which offers both safety and confidentiality. Her integrative approach draws from a range of methods to suit each person’s needs. She has a particular interest in the teachings of Carl Jung in relation to personal agency and resilience, also conscious choice and the process of individuation.
