Counsellor / Psychotherapist
BA (Hons) Counselling & Psychotherapy MIACP
I am a fully accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (IACP)
In my work, I use a person-centered approach, while also drawing on mindfulness and relative aspects of different theories that may assist with the therapeutic process. I feel this integrated approach best allows for therapy that tailors to each individual client. I believe that the quality of the relationship between client and therapist is key to effective therapy whilst creating a pathway for healing and growth.
I realise my job, as a therapist, is to help clients acknowledge, experience and cope with the realities of life. I believe the safe, non-judgmental space of therapy allows my clients to address difficulties in their lives that are causing distress. I hope the therapy will be a safe place for my client to resolve any issues from the past, learn to be more present in the moment and build toward a positive future.
I have experience working with clients around issues including but not limited to:
Anxiety, Depression, Work/Life Balance, Loss, Trauma, Childhood Abuse, Relationship Issues.
I am available to work with adults, 18 years and over, on a short or long term basis determined by the needs of each client.
