Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

Accredited Member of APPI & ICP

Pearse is an experienced clinical psychotherapist specialising in psychodynamic psychotherapy. He works on a one-to-one basis with complete confidentiality. The focus of the therapy is usually on the client’s personal and emotional experience of important relationships. This can include unconscious behaviours which are difficult or defensive, and typically cause repetitive unhelpful patterns in a person’s life.

Clients are most often referred for psychodynamic psychotherapy as it is considered the treatment of choice for anxiety, adjustment difficulties, depression, gender identity & sexuality issues, sexual abuse, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorders and many other clinical disorders.

Pearse studied and trained in the UCD School of Medicine, St Vincent’s Hospital (SVUH), the Mater Hospital (MMUH) and DBS, working with psychiatrists, psychologists and psychoanalysts. Pearse is fully accredited with the Association for Psychoanalysis & Psychotherapy in Ireland (APPI) and the Irish Council for Psychotherapy (ICP).
